Revitalizing a Modern Icon: The Audi RS3 Transformation at EKJ Car Detailing On The Wirral

We recently had the pleasure of hosting an absolutely stunning 2017 Audi RS3 at our studio for an Entry Level Detail and a Two Year Ceramic Coating - Carpro C.Quartz 3.0. The goal was simple, take this high performance machine and make it look even better than the day it rolled off the showroom floor.
Phase 1: The Deep Clean & Decontamination
The process began outside with a rigorous multi stage wash to ensure the canvas was perfectly prepped:
Snow Foam Pre Wash: We started with a layer of snow foam to safely lift and remove surface level grit and dirt.
Chemical Decontamination: A deeper dive using specialized chemicals to break down stubborn iron particles and tar.
Mechanical Clay Bar: This final step removed any remaining embedded contaminants, leaving the paintwork smooth and ready for machine polishing.
Engine Bay Detail: As part of our exterior wet work, we gave the engine bay a thorough detail to ensure the "heart of the beast" looked as good as the body.
Phase 2: Wheel Refurbishment
Our client had unfortunately had a run in with a curb, so we took the opportunity to remove the affected wheel and perform a professional wheel refurbishment. Restoring the symmetry of the car’s stance is vital for that "factory fresh" aesthetic. Our long standing business friend and associate Piero from The Paint Asylum carried out the work for us.
Phase 3: Paint Correction & Protection
With the surfaces clean and the wheel restored, we moved the RS3 inside for the precision work:
Single Stage Machine Polish: This process was used to eliminate light scratches and swirl marks, significantly enhancing the depth and gloss of the Ara Blue Crystal paintwork.
Panel Wipe: We used a panel wipe to strip away any oils or residues left over from the polishing stage, ensuring a perfect bond for the protection.
Ceramic Coating: We applied CarPro CQUARTZ 3.0, a premium two year ceramic coating, providing the exterior with long lasting protection and a high gloss finish.
Phase 4: The Interior & Final Reveal
We didn't just focus on the outside, the interior received a thorough deep clean to match the pristine exterior.
The result? A vehicle that left our client "absolutely blown away." This RS3 is a personal favourite of the team, and since the owner is a true enthusiast who attends car and bike shows across the country, we can’t wait for it to be showcased on the national stage.
