Keeping The Wirral’s Cars Pristine: A 3 Day Transformation for a BMW 320i

If you’ve been around Ellesmere Port, Birkenhead or the wider Wirral area lately, you know the weather can be a bit of a nightmare for keeping a car clean. This week at EKJ Valeting & Detailing Studio, we had a beautiful BMW 320i in for our signature treatment to make sure it stays looking sharp, regardless of the coastal spray or rain.
We put this BMW through our Signature 3 Year Protection Package a deep dive, three day process that covers every inch of the vehicle. Here is how we transformed it right here in the studio.
Day 1: The Deep Clean - Wheels, Paintwork, Engine Bay, and Glass
We don't just wash cars, we decontaminate them in preparation for machine polishing. We started by getting the BMW up and taking the wheels off. This allowed us to deep clean the wheel arches and the brake calipers, which were then protected with a 2 year dedicated wheel ceramic coating. We even polished the exhaust tips and ceramic coated them to make sure the back end looked as good as the front.
Next, we moved to the engine bay, detailing it and dressing it with CarPro Perl for that "straight off the forecourt" look.
To finish the day, the exterior had a full chemical and mechanical decontamination (including a clay bar treatment) and the glass was coated with a dedicated 2 year ceramic coating, perfect for those rainy drives on the M53.
Day 2: Perfecting the Paint - Paint Correction
Day two was all about the "glow". Even well kept BMWs can suffer from light swirls, scratches and dullness in the paint.
Single Stage Machine Polish: We performed a machine polish to enhance the gloss and remove surface imperfections.
The Prep: Before any coating could be applied, we used CarPro Eraser to wipe down the panels, ensuring the surface was 100% bare and ready for a permanent bond.
Day 3: The Finishing Touches & Interior Luxury
On the final day, we stepped inside. Using a steam cleaner, wet vac, and a Tornado air gun, we deep cleaned every nook and cranny of the interior.
Leather & Fabric Protection: We applied Gtechniq Leather Guard and Smart Fabric to the seats and carpets to prevent stains and wear.
The Shield: Finally, we applied the accredited CarPro C.Quartz Professional ceramic coating to the paintwork. This provides a 3 year warrantied protection against bird muck, UV rays, and road grime.
