The New Car Myth - Your new car isnt as new as you think.
Many people believe a brand new car from the dealership is already perfect. The reality? That new vehicle has been sitting around, traveling, and subjected to poor dealership preparation and washes. It arrives with tar, fallout, and bonded-on dirt that needs professional attention before any protection can be applied. Our process is designed to eliminate these issues, ensuring your new car truly gets the cleanest, longest-lasting protection possible.
The Backbone of Our Business
For us, client relationships are the backbone of our studio's success. This project for a returning, long term client who has been with us for four years and had several ceramic coating installations is a perfect example. Because of this loyalty, we decided to ceramic coat his wheels free of charge. It’s our philosophy to look after our long serving customers who support our business, allowing us to flourish and grow.
The New Car Detail VW Touareg R:
Day 1: Decontamination – Washing Away the 'New Car' Dirt
The first day is all about surgical cleanliness. For a ceramic coating to form a physical bond with the vehicle's surface, there can be no oils, residues, or contaminants present. Even on a brand new vehicle, we follow the same rigorous steps.
The Wheels and Paintwork
We started by taking the wheels off the vehicle. You'd be surprised how much tar is inside a new vehicle's wheel. We performed a deep clean and decontamination on the wheels.
Paintwork Prep: Chemical Wash and Clay Bar
Next, the paintwork undergoes a chemical wash to remove fallout and tar spots. This is followed by a mechanical clay bar treatment. This is a crucial step even on this brand new car, a significant amount of bonded-on dirt was removed.
Ceramic Coating The Wheels
Once the car was moved inside, we applied the two-year ceramic coating to the wheels. This included the faces, the inner barrels (hubs), and the brake calipers.

Day 2: Enhancement and Protection – The CarPro C.Quartz 3.0 Installation
Day two is dedicated to paint refinement and applying the final protection.

Single-Stage Machine Polish
To ensure a perfect finish, we performed a single-stage machine polish. This removes any light scratches and swirls that could have been inflicted during transport or poor pre-delivery washes. We polish every single surface top to bottom, grills, and fascia using a range of machines.
Final Wipe Down and Coating
After polishing, the entire vehicle is given a panel wipe. This stage is essential to remove any leftover oils or residues from the polishing process, ensuring the surface is ready for the coating.
This client opted for a two-year coating as he doesn't tend to keep his cars for an extended period. We used CarPro C.Quartz 3.0 on the exterior.
The Result: An Absolutely Stunning Finish
The process culminated in an absolutely stunning piece of kit. The VW Touareg R is now protected and ready for collection, looking better than the day it left the factory.
Ready to give your new or current vehicle the ultimate protection and finish?
P.S. If you’re a long-term client, we might just surprise you with a free wheel coating on your next visit! We love looking after the customers who have helped us succeed.
