Our client entrusted us with their VRS for two days to undergo a comprehensive service, culminating in a three year ceramic coating installation. Our philosophy is simple - preparation is everything. You can't put a professional grade coating on a compromised surface. Our Story
Stage 1: The Deep Clean Foundation
Before any machine polishing or protection can begin, the vehicle must be surgically clean. This initial phase removes every particle of dirt, debris, and contamination that has bonded to the paint over time.
Engine Bay Detail
Safety First: We started with the engine bay, covering and waterproofing the exposed air filter to protect it from moisture during the cleaning process.
Detailing: The bay was thoroughly cleaned to remove dirt, excessive grease, and general road debris, tidying up the entire compartment.
Exterior Decontamination Wash
The exterior wash follows a methodical, three stage process to ensure the paint is free of both loose and embedded contaminants.
Wheels First: The wheels were cleaned first using an iron fallout remover and dedicated cleaners to tackle stubborn brake dust and make them as clean as possible while they were still on the vehicle.
Three Stage Paint Wash:
Pre Wash & Contact Wash: This removes loose surface dirt.
Chemical Wash: This crucial step removes deep iron fallout, tar spots, and other residues embedded in the paintwork.
Mechanical Decontamination (Clay Bar): Finally, a mechanical clay bar was used to remove any remaining bonded on dirt, old sealants, or contamination that the wash stages couldn't pick up.
Stage 2: Correction and Enhancement
Once clean, the vehicle was blow dried from top to bottom to ensure it was thoroughly dry. A single stage machine polish was then performed.
The Purpose of Polishing
The polishing stage is where the magic happens and is critical for both aesthetic enhancement and coating longevity.
Defect Removal: The polish works to remove light scratches and swirls that dull the paint's finish.
Gloss Enhancement: It dramatically enhances the gloss levels of the vehicle's paintwork, making the blue really pop!
This machine polishing stage was carried over from the end of Day 1 into the start of Day 2 to ensure complete and uniform defect removal across all panels.
Stage 3: The Ceramic Coating Installation
With the paint corrected and gloss maximised, the surface is now ready for the long term protective layer Ceramic Coating
Panel Wipe for Surgical Cleanliness
Residue Removal: Before the ceramic coating is applied, the surfaces are panel wiped. This removes any lingering oils or polishing residues that may have been left over from the machine polishing stages.
