See how we transformed a BMW M140i with our Signature Detail, 3 year ceramic coating, and single stage machine polish correction for ultimate protection.
From Deep Clean to Mirror Finish: Protecting a BMW M140i the Right Way
At our car detailing studio in Bromborough On The Wirral , we don’t just "wash" cars. We perform transformations, week in week out. We recently welcomed a stunning BMW M140i for our Signature Detailing Service. This wasn't just about a weekend shine this was about a multi day journey involving a 3 year ceramic coating, multi surface protection, and precision machine polishing.
If you’ve ever wondered why a professional detail takes days rather than hours, I’m going to take you behind the scenes of our process.
The Foundation: Decontamination is Everything
You can’t build a house on a shaky foundation, and you certainly can’t ceramic coat a car that isn't surgically clean. Before a polisher even touches the paint, we put the vehicle through a rigorous decontamination phase
.
Wheels Off Service
To get the best results, the wheels have to come off. We deep clean the faces, the barrels, the brake calipers, and the wheel arches. This ensures every inch is free of iron filings and road grime. Later in the process, these receive a dedicated 2 year ceramic coating to make future maintenance a breeze.

The 3 Stage Exterior Wash
We follow a strict protocol to ensure we don't leave any contaminates on the paintwork during the wash:
Pre wash & Snow Foam: Lifting the loose grit safely away from the surface.
Chemical Decontamination: We use a dedicated tar and glue remover followed by a fallout (iron) remover to dissolve "invisible" contaminants.
The Clay Bar: The final touch to remove any remaining embedded particles, leaving the paint smooth as glass. Ready for machine polishing!
We also complete an engine bay detail as part of our wet work wash process.

Day 2: The Art of Machine Polishing
Once the BMW was inside and dry, Day 2 was dedicated to the paintwork. Even well maintained cars often suffer from light scratches and "spider web" swirl marks that dull the finish.
We performed a machine polish to remove these imperfections and significantly enhance the gloss levels. By the time we finished, the Mineral Grey paint had a depth and clarity that the factory finish simply couldn't match.

Preparing for Protection
Before applying the coating, we used CarPro Eraser to panel wipe the entire vehicle. This step is crucial it removes any lingering oils or polishing residues, ensuring the ceramic coating creates a permanent bond with the paint.

Day 3: The "Signature" Protection
The final day is where the magic happens. To provide the ultimate shield against the elements, we applied CarPro C.QUARTZ Professional.
Why Ceramic Coating?
This isn't a wax that disappears after three washes. This is a semi permanent layer of protection that lasts up to 3 years. It protects the BMW from:
Acid rain and bird droppings.
Chemical burns from harsh road salts.
UV rays that cause paint fading.
We didn't stop at the paint. We machine polished the glass and applied a dedicated 2 year glass coating, ensuring total visibility even in the heaviest rain.
Interior Refinement
A Signature Detail means no surface is left untouched. We deep cleaned the cabin and applied Gtechniq Leather Guard to the seats and Gtechniq Fabric Guard to the carpets. Whether it’s a coffee spill or wear and-tear from getting in and out, the interior is now as protected as the exterior.

The Result: Better Than New
Our client loves driving his car, but more importantly, he loves maintaining it. By doing the heavy lifting now the deep cleaning, the polishing, and the ceramic application we’ve made his weekly wash routine ten times easier.
The car looks sensational, and the protection is locked in. In fact, he was so impressed he’s already booked his second vehicle in for the end of February!
Ceramic coatings are an investment in your car's resale value and your own pride of ownership. If you want your vehicle to stay looking "just detailed" for years, not weeks, this is the way to do it.
